Support for Pi Pico 2 (RP2350 chip)?

Is there any roadmap for adding Edge Impulse hardware support for the new Raspberry Pi Pico 2 (RP2350 chip) like you currently do with Pi Pico? It was released in August, costs just US$5, and has a 15 year production life:

The RP2350 is also used in many other dev boards such as the Seeedstudio Xaio RP2350:

Hi @Pilbrow

Let me check with our tech team, if we have it on the roadmap. Do you have a contact to discuss the customer need? They should be able to capture details on the need and go through how we support a new device or what the timeframe is for support.

Hello Eoin

We don’t have a defined need yet, just doing some future planning at this stage.

On a related note, I just watched Digikey seminar on the Raspberry Pi AI Hat and AI Camera. Are you going to be supporting these devices too? I think they are going to be very popular as competitors to the Jetson product line.

@Eoin Any update on this from your tech team?

Hi @Pilbrow

We are waiting to confirm what varient of dev kit we will be creating as a deployment option, most likely either the raspberry pi pico 2, or indeed it could be the SEEED XIAO one you suggested.

No date for when that will be released, but our firmware will be open source so it would be easy to modify to support other varients as is possible for the esp32 firmware.

The PI AI hat I believe is being worked on, although I cant give a data for that, if you want to arrange a call with one of our solutions / sales team to discuss the need and get some ETA they can work with you.

Hope this helps to clarify @Pilbrow,
