Recognising toothpicks

Hello there I would like to recognize how many black toothpicks are inside a white plate.

I have an image that have 10 black toothpicks , I am kind of confused. Do I have to train the system to recognise the unique toothpick?

And then how do I test the model?

You can use object detection for this. After collecting your images, you’ll be able to label the toothpicks through our UI, check our tutorial on object detection here: https://docs.edgeimpulse.com/docs/object-detection
