OpenMV Firmware Deployment - Resource Optimisation

Users have reported encountering resource limitations in recent weeks, with a number of devices when using the OpenMV firmware deployment option. We have worked with OpenMV to find optimisation for the latest release of the OpenMV Firmware. Using one of the reported public projects that encountered this limitation as a test case.

We have just published a fix for the OpenMV Firmware which provides resource optimisation for the Nicla Vision and Portenta (available via the OpenMV firmware deploy option).

If you are waiting for this fix please try to redeploy your project now, and let us know if there is any project that you still cannot build.

Good question @Bandini, I’ve not tried yet. @Arjan can you answer on the FOMO-AD support in OpenMV?

Hi @Bandini,

The OpenMV integration runs plain tflite files. This means everything handled outside of tflite (like the AD part of FOMO-AD) is not supported.
