Is it necessary to use starter projects as given on the project of the month competition page?

Question/Issue:
Is it necessary to use starter projects as given on the project of the month competition page? I was thinking if I could use other training data? Or I need choose from those three projects only to be eligible for the competition? And one more question, is it necessary to post my project on the edge impulse blog or just submitting the github link in the form is sufficient?

And for your project type, please, feel free to use your own data. As long as it’s an Object Detection project that uses FOMO, you’re good!

Ok. Now I understand. We need to use the FOMO architecture but we can train it using our own data.

To be eligible for the prizes, there are two main requirements for the month of June:

  • The project needs to use the new FOMO architecture
  • The project needs to be made public
